Robert Lee John, 71, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011.
Born in South Bend, IN, he was the son of the late George W. John and Mary Knepp John. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen John. Robert was a retired US Marine Corp veteran. He was a Bridge operator for the South Carolina DOT and was a member of Franklin Gem and Mineral Society.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon Donovan John; four children, Shawn John of North Carolina, David John and wife Erika of Beaufort, SC, Robert John and wife Gina of Birmingham, AL and Marlene John and David Sitter of Port Royal, SC and six grandchildren, Kathleen, Jeanette, David, Alex, Shawn and Cheyenne.
Services have not been planned at this time.
