Robert A. Henson, 61, of Otto, NC, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013.
Born in Lodi, Ohio, he was the son of the late James J. Henson and Jewel Conner Henson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Henson and a step son, Allen Hafer Henson. Bob was an active member of Coweeta Baptist Church where he served as usher; was an avid model railroader; volunteer Sheriff's deputy in Medina, Ohio and was a volunteer fireman in West Salem, Ohio. He also worked as a cashier at Walmart for 11 years.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Bonnie Nichols Henson; daughter, Alice Klose and husband Michael of Denison, Texas; two grandsons, Gage Klose and Preston Klose; and god child grandson, Chase Meese.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, at Coweeta Baptist Church. Rev. Davis Hooper will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
