Robert W. Euting, 77, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2006.

A native of Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late Fredrick Euting and Mary Jane Adams Euting. In addition he was preceded in death by two sons, James and Michael; one brother, Thomas and a grandson, Daniel Wesley Euting. Robert retired from Morton Salt where he worked as a traffic manager. He was a US Marine Corp veteran, was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where he served as usher, member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Marine Corp League.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley McGuire Euting; three children, Daniel Euting and wife Barbara of Huntsville, AL, Linda Simpson and husband Michael of Blue Springs, Missouri and Robert Euting and wife Sandi of Elburn, Illinois; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 30, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Father Matthew Kauth will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus.
