Rickey Melvin Holland, 56, of River Road, passed away Monday, August 9, 2010.

Rickey was the son of Sophia Pendergrass Holland and the late Ernest Holland. He was preceded in death by his father, a sister, Melody Breedlove and two brothers, Seivert and Reggie Holland. Rickey worked at the Highlands Country Club for over 30 years, most recently as Wildlife Manager. He greatly loved his co-workers and members and considered them his "second" family. The family is very grateful to Highlands Country Club for the love, support and friendship given to Rickey during his career with them and his battle with cancer.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Tracy Holland and Rondal Holland and wife Rhonda; two sisters, Azelia "Zee" Woods and her husband Royce and Brenda Pangle and husband Tommy. He is also survived by a number of loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 12, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Danny Holland will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
