Reva "Sis" Clark Duvall, 85, of Franklin, went gently into the arms of the Lord at her home on Friday, January 18, 2013.
Born in Macon County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Dock Levi Clark, Sr. and Eliza Hickey Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband of 56 years, Ralph Horace Duvall who died in 2004 and her beloved son, Gary Ralph Duvall who passed away in 1991. The last of nine children, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Clyde Clark, Arnold Clark, Lem Clark, Gaston "Monk Clark and D.L. Clark, Jr. and three sisters, Hassie Clark Sheffield. Birdie Clark Peek, Coye Sue Clark Simons. Reva loved her Lord and was strong in her faith. She enjoyed growing daylilies and was known by many near and far as the "daylily queen". Reva was a member of Riverside Fellowship Church. She was a loving and caring mother who will be greatly missed by her daughter.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Ann Duvall of the home and many nieces and nephews. Reva was greatly blessed to have had kind and compassionate caregivers in her home, Debra Shelton, Regina Lindley, Dorothy Reddish, Terri Head, and a very special niece, Susan Simons who spent many hours with her "Aunt Sis".
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January, 22nd, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Davis Hooper, Rev. Phillip Cochran, and Rev. Wayne Price will officiate. Burial will be in Cowee Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Monday, January 21st, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Mike Simons, Donnie Stanley, Eddie Sheffield, Gene Austin, Terry Duvall and Furman Ledford. Allen Berry and Grover Sheffield, Jr. will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
