Renice Miller Lansing, 91, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2008.
Born in Scioto County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Walter Ara Lansing and Hazel Kearnes Lansing. Renice retired from Palm Beach County, Florida's school system as a principal. He was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran and served as a Meteorologist during WWII. Renice was a 32nd Degree Mason in The Boynton Beach Lodge #236 in the Lake Worth District. He was former President of Boynton Beach Rotary and of Palm Beach County Principal Association. Renice taught in Boynton Beach for nearly 40 years. He moved to Franklin in 2004 and was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Renice is survived by his wife of 49 years, Kitsie Tether Lansing; one daughter, Jerilyn Stoner of Gainesville, FL; four step-children, Betsy Whitlock of Franklin, NC, Kitsie W. Hendrix of Memphis, TN, Houston Wilson III of Copenhagen, Denmark and David Lain Wilson of Sebring, FL; twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Masonic Rites will be conducted by the Junaluskee Lodge #145.
