Rena Ledford Peek, 82, of Franklin, entered into rest on Saturday, December 24, 2005.

A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Sallie Ledford. She was married to the late James Peek who died March 25, 1999 and was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Sue Peek and Edna Phillips; three sons, Alec Sanders, Geral Sanders and Roger Sanders; one step son, Lawton Peek and one great grandson, Josh Ammons. Rena was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and attended Central Baptist Church.

She is survived by eight children, Dallas Sanders of Franklin, Don Sanders of Toccoa, GA, Liz Neuenschwander of Waynesville, NC, Velma Randall, Terry Peek and Clay Peek all of Franklin, Gary Peek of Everett, Washington and Bobby Peek of Franklin; step daughter, Cora Lee Hendren of Florida; 26 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Lewis Smith and Rev. Clifford Willis will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Todd Sumner, Greg Bates, Paul Benedict, Billy Mote, Jackie McNair and Lane Cabe.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Phillips, Derek Peek, Joey Ammons, Daylon Tallent, Charlie Sanders and Mathew Neuenschwander.

Memorial donations may be made to Central Baptist Church.
