Raymond Crunkleton, 61, of Franklin, NC, passed away Friday, July 7, 2006 at a VA center in Richmond, VA.
A native of Macon County, he was the son of the late Claud Crunkleton and Belle Stanfield Crunkleton. He was preceded in death by a brother, Chuckie Crunkleton. Raymond was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the VFW Post 7339 and the American Legion Post 108.
He is survived by two sisters, Carolyn Crunkleton of Franklin, NC and Claudette Worley of Buena Vista, VA; three brothers, Sam Crunkleton of Lilburn, GA, Tom Crunkleton of Buffalo, Missouri and Kenneth Crunkleton of Franklin, NC; ten nieces and nephews; and thirteen great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. David Crunkleton will officiate. Burial will be in the Sugarfork Baptist Church Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the VFW Post 7339 and the American Legion Post 108.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 10, at Macon Funeral Home.
