Randall "Willie" Winston Buchanan, 66, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013.
Born in Jackson Co, he was the son of the late Perry Buchanan and Myrtle Leopard Buchanan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Buchanan. Willie loved football and racing. He was a member of Windy Gap Baptist Church.
He is survived by three children, Amanda Peek and husband Mark of Franklin, Allison Hicks and husband Scott of Thomasville, NC and Blake Buchanan of Franklin; five brothers and sisters, Kenneth Buchanan and wife Shannon of Harrisburg, PA, Linda Jane Woodard of Charleston, SC, Arnold Buchanan and wife Brenda of Tuckasegee, NC, Rachael Capps and husband Tommy of Henderson, NC and Joyce Todd of Franklin; two grandchildren, Mason Hicks and Isabella Buchanan.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 21st at Windy Gap Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Bishop will officiate. Burial will be in Windy Gap Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Scotty Bishop, Tubby Zachery, Gary Scott, Caroll Jones, Bill Pruitt and Terry Moore.
