Obituary
Rae Jean Gehret, 85, of Franklin, NC , formerly of Crestview, and Lake Placid, FL, entered into rest on Monday, January 30, 2006.
A native of Altoona, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alvin Greenwood and Elizabeth McElhinney Greenwood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gehret and a daugther, Donna Lacey and son-in-law, Jim Lacey. She owned and operated Jackson's Quick Stop in Lake Placid, FL for 24 years, retiring in 1993. She was a loving, caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always put her family first. She was well liked by everyone she met. She thought highly of her friends in Franklin, NC, Crestview, FL and Lake Placid, FL.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Pamela Lacey of Pennsylvania and Scott Lacey of Wyoming; seven great grandchildren, Meghan Lacey of Florida, Mikaeli Lacey and Cody James Lacey both of Wymoing, Shanea Harris, Michelle Milwrick, Jonathan Harris and Beverly Holly all of Pennsylvania; and a great great granddaughter, Haylee Milwrick of Pennsylvania.
Funeral Services will be held at Chandler Funeral Home in Lake Placid, Florida.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the local arrangements.
