Obituary

Radford E. Jacobs, 95, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018.

Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Eugene Lawrence Jacobs and Bessie Baldwin Jacobs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kate Anderson Jacobs; daughter, Susan Rogers; brother, Carroll and sister Kate. Radford was a US Army Veteran of WWII, a member of Iotla Baptist Church, and enjoyed deer hunting.

He is survived by two sons, Larry Jacobs and Scotty Jacobs both of Franklin; brother, J.C. Jacobs; two sisters, Lois Meadows and Helen Byrd; three grandchildren, Todd Bennett (Sharon), Andrew Jacobs (Whitney) and Shanda Jacobs; great granddaughter, Macie and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm, Tuesday, November 27 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Janet Greene will officiate. Burial will be in the Iotla Baptist Church Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by VFW Post 7339 and American Legion Post 108.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
