Quintin Stephen Holder, Sr., 85, of Franklin, entered into rest Thursday, May 12, 2005.
A native of Lake Butler, Florida, he was the son of the late Senegal L. Holder and Edith Peoples Holder. Quintin retired after 31 years from the US Postal Service in Miami, FL.; was a member and retired Deacon from the First Baptist Church; a member of Junaluskee Lodge No. 145 and the Scottish Rite; a member of Nequassa Chapter No. 43 Order of Eastern Star; and a member of the Smoky Mountain Shrine Club.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Mildred H. "Millie" Holder; two children, Linda Holder Bodden of Port St. Lucie, FL and Q. Stephen Holder, Jr. of Miami, FL; one grandson, M. Scott Matthews; and two great grandchildren, Devin Matthews and Brittney Matthews.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 16, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Harold Ball, Rev. Ron Odum, and Junaluskee Lodge No. 145 will officiate. Burial will be in Pisgah View Memorial Park Cemetery, Candler, NC.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 Monday at Macon Funeral Home.
