Obituary
Phyllis Jean Brookover, 84, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2010.
Born in Charleston, WV, she was the daughter of the late James Lane and Forrest Peal Lane. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Brookover. Phyllis loved to read and was a member of Newfound Conservative Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Amy Haar of Lakeland, FL; a sister, Rosemary Whitlock of Jasper, FL and a granddaughter, Lauren Haar of Orlando, FL.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 20, at Newfound Conservative Baptist Church. Rev. Alan Waters will officiate. Graveside will be held at 3:15 p.m. Monday, June 21 in the Black Mountain VA Cemetery.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
