Obituary
Peggy Avarine Deitz, 63, of Brevard, NC, formerly of Franklin, NC, passed away Friday, September 14, 2007.
Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Deitz and Annah Cowan Deitz. Peggy retired from the Franklin Press where she worked in ad sales.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura Harper Deppe of Pisgah Forest, NC; two brothers, Mark Deitz of Franklin and Levon Deitz of Texas; two sisters, Joyce Scully and Frankie Holbrooks both of Franklin; two grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A gathering of friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 17, at Macon Funeral Home, Franklin, NC.
Memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of NC, 5950 Fairview Road, Suite 708, Charlotte, NC 28210.
