Pearl H. Potts, 95, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011.
Born in Macon Co., she was the daughter of the late Reverend Norman E. Holden and Martha Jane Dehart Holden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Harry Potts; son, Hoyt Phillip Potts; four brothers, Coburn, Gardner, Lee and Paul Holden and sister, Myrtle Shepherd. Pearl was a member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Kimberly Potts Davis and husband Earl of Archdale, NC, Jennifer Potts Isaacs and husband Jason of Hickory, NC; daughter-in-law, Claudetta McCoy Potts of Taylorsville, NC; two sisters, Eddis Patterson of Sylva and Dorothy Shope of Franklin; sister-in-law, Louise Holden of Franklin; three great-grandchildren, Connor Davis, Reagan Davis and Jeffrey Isaacs and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Dusek, Rev. Lloyd Fish and Dr. Robert Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Earl Davis II, Connor Davis, Jason Isaacs, Jeffrey Isaacs, Charles Cabe and Wade Shope.
James E. Shepherd, Ronnie Dowdle and Harley Potts will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
