Patricia "Pat" B. Simons, 62, of Matlock Creek, Franklin, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 23, 2007.

Born in Swain County, she was the daughter of the late U.Z. and Dorothy Burnett. Pat was a member of Cowee Baptist Church where she chaired the kitchen committee for many years. As an Acteen Leader for years she was a positive influence in the lives of many girls. She was also a talented crafter and caterer who added beauty to many people's homes and lives with her creations.

She was the beloved wife of Earl Simons of 40 years; son, Tony Simons and wife Lori; two daughters, Angie Hall and husband Brian and Beth Dodge all of Franklin; eleven grandchildren, Daniel Hall, Rachelle Simons, Amy Hall, Logan Dodge, Cassidy Hall, Lucas Dodge, Austin Simons, Kady Hall, Lindsey Dodge, Jacob Gibson and Angel Scriven; sisters, Becky Nunnaley of Asheville, Judy Burnett of Bryson City; brother Bill Burnett of Bryson City; and a half brother and sister, Joe and Penny Walker of Elkin, NC.

Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, at Cowee Baptist Church. Rev. Lloyd Fish will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 24, at Macon Funeral Home.
