Orpha Louise Mason, 73, of Franklin, NC, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2006 at an Asheville Hospital.

A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Reid and Nellie Dills Bingham. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Mason, one brother, Howard Hastings and a sister, Agnes Cloer. Orpha worked for Grandview Manor Care Center as a CNA and Supervisor.

She is survived by four children, Gary Mason and wife Nancy of Franklin, Keith Mason and wife Betty Jo of Otto, Judy Bell and husband Mike of Otto and Michael Mason of Franklin; four grandchildren, Matthew Mason and David Mason both of Franklin and Brandi Mason and Bryan Bell both of Otto; and one great grandson, Drew Mason of Franklin.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 17, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Greg Rogers and Rev. Ronnie Owens will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, at Macon Funeral Home.
