Nellie Nichols Jamison, 90, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2011.

Born in Macon Co. she was the daughter of the late James Thaddeus Nichols and Martha Hodgin Nichols. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Frank Jamison who passed away in 2001; a son, F. Nick Jamison; two sisters, Lorene "Tib" Franklin and Ruth Cabe and brother, Jack Nichols. Nellie was Co-Owner and operator of Jamison's 5 & 10 store for 26 years. After retirement she volunteered as a Pink Lady with Angel Community Hospital for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Jamison Mason and husband Leroy "Smoky" of Rabun Gap, GA and Nancy Ross and husband Rick of Moscow, Russia; a brother, Jim Nichols and wife Pearl; sister-in-law, Billy Jo Nichols; brother-in-law, T.L. and wife Judy Jamison; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Dr. John Fowler will officiate. Burial will be in the Union Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Nephews will serve as Pallbearers.
