Nellie Barry, 94, of Franklin, passed away Monday, August 30, 2010.

Born in Ukraine, she was the daughter of the late Tihon and Akelina Sedlar. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Barry; sons, William Little and Les Barry and four sisters. Nellie was a licensed cosmetologist in 5 states and currently held her license at 94 years of age. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and loved to play bingo. She was of the Christian faith.

She is survived by three children, David Barry and wife Vivian of Gainesville, FL, Jean Lamer and husband Ken of Rockford, MI and Barbara Kovacs and husband Donald of Franklin; a sister, Val Shaimas of Peabody, MA; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 4, at the First Presbyterian Cemetery. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate.
