Obituary
Ned O. Haskett, 101, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2007.
Born in the Ellijay Community of Macon County, he was the son of the late John Haskett and Lora Buchanan Haskett. Ned was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Passmore Haskett who died July 31, 2003 and a son, Boyd Haskett. He was a U.S. Army veteran; member of Mountain Grove Baptist Church; loved music and playing his banjo; and enjoyed caring for his farm animals.
He is survived by four children, Janie Green, Bessie Lee, Mary Crawford and Wilma Hedden all of Franklin; ten grandchildren; and twenty five great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 29, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Frank Rodriquez will officiate. Burial will be in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 28, at Macon Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, C/O Mary Wilson, 3110 Pumpkintown Road, Sylva, NC 28779.
