Obituary
Ned Drescher, 70, of Franklin, NC, entered into rest on Friday, February 24, 2006.
A native of Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Edwin Drescher and Evelyn Waters Drescher. Ned graduated from the University of Miami and was a member of the Golden Legion of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He was a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker. He served on the Board of Realtors and was a member of the board of directors of Mountain Youth Resources.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Anne Boyle Drescher; three children, Douglas Edwin Drescher and wife Ildiko of Homestead, FL; David Paul Drescher and wife Kristin of Coconut Creek, FL and Lisa Evelyn Earley and husband Jeff of Decatur, Alabama; step daughter, Suzanne McDonough of Coral Gables, FL; five grandchildren, Brittany Drescher, Daniel Drescher, Tyler Drescher, Nelson Earley and Davis Earley.
A Celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 3, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1648, Franklin, NC 28744 or Angel Hospice Foundation, PO Box 815, Franklin, NC 28744.
