Nancy Carapazza, 82, of Otto, NC, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016.

Born in Jersey City, NJ and grew up in Port Jefferson, NY. She was the daughter of the late Victor and Anna D'Angelo Chiarini. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Carapazza; infant son, John Carapazza; brother, Anthony Chiarini; sisters, Victoria Evangelista, Irene Deptola and Regina Plans. She was of the Catholic faith. Nancy loved books, painting and drawing.

She is survived by children, Wayne Carapazza and wife Sharon, Gloria Carapazza and husband Brian both of Otto, NC, Tara-Lynn Alemayehu and husband Solomon of Oldsmar, FL, Joseph Carapazza and wife Dawn of Otto, NC, Anna-Marie Kusch and husband Andy and Nancy Wodraska and husband Chad both of Franklin, NC, sisters, Mafalda Smith of Selden, NY, Jean Avery of Augusta, GA; 13 grandchildren, Salvatore, Victor, Charlie, Nina, David, John, Arielle, Joseph, Vinny, Hannah, Frankie, Jayme, Anna-Rose; 10 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 9 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church. Father Tien Duong will officiate.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
