Obituary
Milton W. Scott, 80, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016.
Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Robert Scott and Cordie Sanders Scott. Milton worked for Macon Furniture Mart and was a member of Sugarfork Baptist Church. He enjoyed bluegrass music and playing upright base guitar.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Hazel Jones Scott; four children, Jeff Alexander (Jenny), Howard Scott, Jack Scott and Ruth Ann Jones all of Franklin; four grandchildren, Carly Alexander, Alan Jones, Sampson Scott and Anna Maria Scott and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 3 pm Wednesday, January 20, at Sugarfork Baptist Church. Rev. Gene Hawkins and Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, January 19, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Fox, Bennie Reynolds, Richard Guthrie, Lonnie Jones, Roy Mashburn and Harold Crisp.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Jones, Joseph Paul Shuler, Cecil Walker, Dick Sheann and Harry Jones.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
