Obituary

Mildred Corbin Williamson, 80, of Franklin, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015.

Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Corbin and Minnie Williams Corbin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jim Williamson who died on November 19, 2010 and two brothers, C.D. Corbin Jr. and Grady Corbin. Mildred retired from the US Department of Agriculture after 37 years as Program Assistant and Clerk. She was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church where she served as church pianist, song leader and WMU leader.

She is survived by two children, James E. "Gene" Williamson and wife Kim of Candler, NC and Joy Mason of Franklin; two sisters, Dorothy Seagle and husband Don and Mae Keeter and husband Jack; sisters-in-law, Margaret Loraine Powell, Wilma Corbin, Ann Curtis and Mary Williamson; brothers-in-law, Ned Williamson (Audrey) and Bill Williamson (Louise); four grandchildren, Ashley Bishop and husband Brian, Amber Chastain and husband Darren, Whitney Schultz and husband Justin and Tyler Williamson and five great grandchildren, Adelynn, Corbin, Gracelynn, ClaraLynn Chastain and Shelby Schultz.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11th at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11th at Holly Springs Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Mark Corbin, Donnie Seagle, Ren Corbin, Grady Corbin Jr., Tyler Williamson, Randy Keeter, Larry Corbin, Keith Corbin, Justin Schultz and Darren Chastain.

Memorial donations may be made to Holly Springs Baptist Church Debt Retirement, C/O Nancy Seagle, 366 Holly Springs Church Road, Franklin, NC 28734.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
