Mildred Mary Beck Dills, 88, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019.

Born on September 12, 1930 in Smokemont, NC, she was the daughter of the late Merritt William and Julia Watson Beck. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, J.D. Dills; son, Jimmy Dills; brothers, Merritt, Glenn and Albert (Sonny) Beck; and sisters, Beatrice Hammack and Leota Wilkes. Mildred worked many years for friends Paul (Nig) and Lillie Tallent at Tallent Steak House and worked at Sangamo and Belden. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Wilma Anderson (JC); daughter-in-law, Suzanne Dills; grandchildren, Mia Overton (Tom), Tye Anderson (Sarah), Andrea Anderson, Colby Anderson and Jimmy Dills; great grandchildren, Makhaila and Zoie Anderson; sister, Ruth Corey; special nephew, Dennis Ray (Debbie) and several other nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm Sunday, March 17, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves and Rev. Brian Holland will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm Sunday, prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Dills, Colby Anderson, Tye Anderson, Tom Overton, Dennis Ray, Stanley Southard, Keith Huscusson and Terry McCoy.
