Mildred Halstead Aliff of Mabscott, WV passed away December 1, 2010 at the home of her son James "Jim" Aliff and his wife Anna of Highlands NC.

Mrs. Aliff was preceded in death by her husband Bert C. Aliff who passed away March 15, 1989.

Mrs. Aliff was the daughter of Charles and Cordia Lilly Halstead born December 20, 1911 at Whitby, WV.

Mrs. Aliff was a member of Calloway Heights Baptist Church Beckley, WV. She is survived by her son, James "Jim" and daughter in law Anna Aliff of Highlands, NC and Mrs. Dee Ann Wheaton and husband James Wheaton, Jr. of Columbus, GA.

She was the eldest daughter of fourteen children, sister of Bill Halstead and wife Jo of Pence Springs, WV. Paul Halstead of Daniels, WV. Brothers also include Charles Halstead, Tennis Halstead, and Mason Halstead (all deceased).

Sisters of Mrs. Aliff include Edna Nowlan, Ruby Crooks, and Nora Adkins(all deceased). Living sisters include Mrs. Edith Lily of Mac Arthur, WV Mrs. Blanche Martin of Charlotte, NC, Mrs. Anne Halsey of Charlotte, NC, Mrs. Lois and Jay Banks of Union WV and Mary Rodgers of Charleston, WV.

Mrs. Aliff was the grandmother of Mrs. Anita Jackson, Mrs. Carmen Cockerham, Bert Aliff, Trina Aliff, and Cathy Hagan. Great Grandmother of Adam Parish, Shanna Cockerham, and Kyle Jackson, Alexis Aliff, Bert Edwin Aliff and Alaina Hagan.

She was Great Great Grandmother to Ryan and Ryver Parish. A memorial service will be held Spring 2011 (April or May) at Calloway Heights Baptist Church Beckley, WV. Details to be announced at a later date.
