Obituary
Michael Paul Perkey, 48, of Otto, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017.
Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Katie Ruth Cabe of Otto and the late William Paul Perkey. Michael loved hiking, camping and fishing. He was Baptist by faith.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by David Cabe, whom he considered his second dad; one son, Cody Perkey of Franklin; one sister, Donna Kay Shearl of Anderson, IN; one brother, Charles Stephen Perkey of Anderson, IN and nieces and nephews, Ronald Edward Shearl II, Cynthia Darlene Van Buskirk, Stephen Alan Perkey and Shannon Annette Perkey.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 7th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Dryman will officiate. Burial will be in Wells Grove Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Shearl, John Franks, Dennis Sterling, Vincent Digaetano, Logan Orr and Kevin Brown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Appalachian Animal Rescue, PO Box 81, Franklin, NC 28744.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
