Michael "Mike" John Morgan, 45, of Otto, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 23, 2007.

Born in Orlando, FL, he was the son of Jim Morgan and the late Wanda Collier Morgan.
Mike graduated from Western Carolina University and was a member of Dryman's Chapel Methodist Church. He was the first Vice President and chief lending officer for Macon Bank, serving on the executive committee that set the direction of the bank. Mike was a member of the SCC Foundation Board.

In addition to his father, Jim Morgan, he is survived by his wife of 20 years, Jane Bell Morgan; two daughters, Kelly and Lori both of the home; brother, Dennis Morgan and wife Karen of Asheville, NC; two sisters, Diana Flynn and husband Jim of Tucson, Arizona and Judy Morgan of Washington, DC; four nephews; and father-in-law and mother-in-law Harvey and Bea Bell.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 26, at First United Methodist Church. Rev. Michael Binger and Rev. Tom Coss will officiate. Burial will be in the Dryman's Chapel Methodist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 25, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jamey Tricoli, Roger Plemens, Greg Talley, Tom Young, Eric Lehnert, Stan Jeffress, Mark Whitman, Roland Mock, Pat Muse and Denny Ledford.

Memorial donations may be made to the Dryman's Chapel Methodist Church Building Fund, C/O LeAnn Muse, 600 Sam Corn Road, Otto, NC 28763 or a charity of one's choice.
