Obituary
Michael J. Gerhart, 56, of Franklin, NC, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 8, 2006.
A native of Urbana, Illinois, he was the son of Lorraine Holleman Gerhart and the late Herschel Gerhart. He was a self employed building contractor. Mike was a member of Franklin Covenant Church where he served as a deacon. He loved reading, WWII history, sports and classic cars and most of all he loved his family.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 24 years, Michelle Serratore Gerhart; three children, Justin Gerhart, Laura Gerhart and Sean Gerhart all of Franklin; one brother, Mark Gerhart of Illinois; two sisters, Margy Palmisano and Michelle Hanson both of Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 11, at Franklin Covenant Church. Rev. John Makinson will officiate.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
