Obituary
Mennice "Penny" Kilby, 65, of Adairsville, GA, formerly of Franklin, NC, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012.
Born in Murphy, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Lola Sexton Hass. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Joe Kilby who died in 2010. Penny was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by a son, Daniel "Kevin" Kilby and fiancée, Rita Kay Speed of Otto; siblings, Ray, John, Donna and Nell; three grandchildren, Jessica Shay of Murphy, Daniel Kody Kilby of Franklin and Tristen Kaleb Kilby of Franklin and three great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 7th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Rick Potts will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial donations can be made to the American Lung Assoc., PO Box 27985 Raleigh, NC 27611.
