Mattie Franklin Potts of Annandale, Virginia passed away at INOVA Alexandria Hospital on December 19, 2005.

She was a resident of Northern Virginia for the past 50 years. A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of Jerry R. and Inez Ledbetter Franklin.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28th at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the Chapel on Tuesday evening, December 27th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Potts, and daughter, Freda P. DeHart; sisters Faye West, Thelma Edwards, and brothers Hugh, Ray, Woodrow and Wayne Franklin. She is survived by her daughters, Sybil P. Major and husband Earl, and Joan P. Brookshire and husband, Wendell; sister, Mildred Wilmouth; grandchildren, Sutton, Ronald and Randall Cabe; Daniel DeHart; Saundra Brookshire and Alisa Brookshire Snead; greatgrandchildren, Morgan Myshin, John Cabe, Ashley DeHart, Stephanie and Colin Cabe, and Logan and Makenzie Snead.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
