Obituary
Mary Evelyn Westgate, 86, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016.
Born in Wayland, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Lessie Lantz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Maxine Braasch. Evelyn enjoyed country music, crafts, gardening, her beloved cat Midnight, spending time with her family and her companion, Tom Colvin.
She is survived by two sons, Scott Westgate and wife Darlene of St. Augustine, FL and Bradley Westgate and wife Susan of Bel Air, MD; three grandchildren, Lydia Westgate Paul of Alpena, MI, John Westgate of Abingdon, MD and Justin Westgate of Hampstead, MD; two great grandsons, Hunter Paul and Jaidan Westgate; sister, Virginia Hamilton of Franklin and companion, Tom Colvin of Franklin.
Burial will be held at Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery, Burlington, Iowa.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
