Mary Sue Phillips, 84, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013.
Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of the late Jamie Patrick Norton and Mary Jane Brendle Norton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Frank Phillips; three brothers, Pat, Kenneth and Clyde Norton; sister, Katherine N. Deal and nephew, Jimmy Deal. Mary loved her cat, flowers and loved meeting and visiting people. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three nieces, Judy N. Colby of Hampton, VA, Jane P. Woodlee of Mt. Home, NC and Suzi P. Cabe of Franklin; five nephews, Pat "Buddy" Norton of Riceville, TN, Kenneth Norton of Athens, TN, David Norton of Decatur, TN, Stephen Norton of Decatur, TN and Billy Norton of Franklin and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 2nd in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Judson Hall will officiate. Burial will be in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
