Mary Constance Stiles, 86, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011.

Born in Polk Co, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ezra Constance and Ethel Ledbetter Constance. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, W.P. "Dub" Constance and sister, Margie Cabe. Mary was assistant librarian and teacher assistant at Otto Elementary School, Macon Middle School and Franklin High School. She was an active member of First Baptist Church where she was a deacon and general officer for many years. She enjoyed crocheting and reading. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Vernon Stiles; three children, David Stiles and wife Judy of Linden, NC, Connie Stiles of Franklin and Kelley Higdon and husband Phil of Franklin; sister, Elizabeth Stevens of Asheville; brother-in-law, Larry Cabe; six grandchildren, Donnie Stiles, David Lee Stiles, Gina Kibert, Tyler Higdon, Conner Poston and Tucker Poston and five great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 2, at First Baptist Church. Rev. Jim Dusek will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Mike Stevens, George "Steve" Stevens, David Lee Stiles, Donnie Stiles, Tyler Higdon, Conner Poston and Tucker Poston. Hylda Shephard Circle will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.
