Obituary
Mary Jo Bennett Rickman, 90, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017.
Born in Birmingham, AL, she was the daughter of the late Walter Bennett and Catherine Templin Bennett. Mary Jo was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Erwin Charles Rickman who died June 25, 2013; a son, Glenn Alen Rickman and grandson, Nathan Dills. She was a member of Snow Hill United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three children, Barbara Ann Kniffen and husband Charles of Oxford, MI, Stephen Rickman and wife Marci of Sky Valley, GA and Caren Rickman of FL; nine grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at Snow Hill United Methodist Church. Rev. Steve Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Snow Hill United Methodist Church, 330 Snow Hill Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
