Maggie Pendergrass, 78, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010. Born in Macon Co., she was the daughter of the late Wiley Pendergrass and Vinnie Roper Pendergrass. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Viola Boyce and a brother, Lyman Pendergrass. Maggie was a member of Mt. Sinai Assembly of God. She is survived by a her son, Steve Pendergrass and wife Tammy of Franklin; a sister; Sophia Holland of Franklin; three brothers, Robert Pendergrass of Rome, GA, Jerry Pendergrass of Calhoun, GA and Urban Pendergrass of Canton, OH; four grandchildren, Eric Pendergrass, Tara Pendergrass, Renea Gibson and Steven Dills; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 5, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Barry Bowman and Rev. Johnny Raby will officiate. Burial will be in Tippett Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 4, at Macon Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Kris Pince, Alan Mashburn, Mark Watson, Tracy Holland, Charlie Williamson and George Maynard. Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
