The family of Mary Ruth Cruse Medlin, 89, of Otto, NC, wish to announce Mom passed away peacefully on October 21, 2021 in Lawrenceville GA.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 30th at the Maidens Chapel Church Cemetery. Family and friends are happily welcomed to share the service.

Mary Ruth was born at Lakeview, GA on Aug. 15, 1932 to parents Fred and Jewel Cruse. She was married to James Medlin, Sr. on Nov. 12, 1951 in Wahalla, SC. She was a homemaker and loving mother to her 3 children. Her family was the greatest joy in her life of 89 years.

Mary Ruth is preceded in death by her husband James B. Medlin Sr., her parents Fred and Jewel Cruse, brothers Jack Cruse, Floyd Cruse and Walker Cruse and sister Joanne Cruse Kameh.

She is survived by sons James (Jimmie) Medlin, Christopher Medlin of Smyrna GA and daughter Judy (Jewel) and husband Gerry McManus of Lawrenceville GA. She is also survived by brother Max Duane Cruse and sisters Shirley Cole of Marietta GA and Doris Hunter of Franklin.
