Obituary
Mary Detherage Flowers, 81, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016.
Born in Barbourville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Walter Detherage and Minnie Farmer Detherage. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert Hamilton and Charles Detherage and two sisters, Lorraine Locklear and Betty Waldroop. Mary was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William Edward Flowers; five children, Ron Flowers of Franklin, James Flowers of Warren, MI, Danny Flowers of Franklin, Shirley Jean Flowers of Shelby Township, MI and Sharron Widzinski of Westerville, OH; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 7th, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Frank Rodriguez and Rev. Howard Southard will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11-1:00 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
