Mary "Kathryn" Bazemore, 84, of Otto, passed away Monday, December 27, 2010. Born in Glennville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Kicklighter and Ava Dell Bacon Kicklighter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leighton Everette Bazemore; son, Thomas Bazemore and sister, Marian Rhinesmith. Kathryn was a member of the Franklin Garden Club; she volunteered at the hospital and hosted forestry students at her home for years. She was always helping others throughout the community. She was a member of First Assembly of God. She is survived by her daughter, Katy Petrush and husband John of Atlanta, GA; son, Leighton Bazemore of Franklin; brother, Edwin Kicklighter of Glennville, GA; two sisters, Edith McGee of Orlando, FL and Carol Dawson of Franklin; seven grandchildren; three nieces and six nephews. Graveside Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 29 at Rush Cemetery. Rev. Don Moffitt will officiate.
