Marshall Victory Nation Sr., 67, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011.

Born in Oglethorpe, GA, he was the son of the late Andy Geston Nation and Bessie Hackett Nation. Marshall enjoyed hunting and golfing; was a Chicago Cubs fan and Civil War buff.

He is survived by four children, Marshall V. Nation Jr. of Franklin, A. Michelle Nation Heard of Travelers Rest, SC, Dedra Nation Justus of Clayton, GA and Michael Nation of Bradenton, FL; sister, Brenda Scogin of Danielsville, GA; brother, JW Nation of Swanee, GA; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 5 at Longview Baptist Church. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Calhoun Falls, SC.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, at Macon Funeral Home.
