Marrell Smith Miles, 87, of Franklin went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 26, 2018.

Born September 14, 1931 in Heard County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Lib Haynes Smith and Colie Henson Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Douglas Miles Sr (March 14, 2016). Marrell loved flower gardening, sewing, and quilting, and worked at her daughter's quilt shop for several years.

Devoted Christian, beloved mother and grandmother, she is survived by children, Richard Miles Jr (Denise) of Soddy Daisy, TN, Maxine Ramey (CJ) of Franklin, Frank Miles (Rhonda) of Newnan, GA, and John Miles (Sherry) of Woodland, AL; twelve grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, December 1 in the Chapel of Rainwater Funeral Home, Bowdon, GA. Burial will be in Bethel East Baptist Church Cemetery, Woodland, AL alongside her husband.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Rainwater Funeral Home.
