Obituary
Marjorie Ann Powell, 85, of Franklin, NC formerly of El Paso, Texas, passed away Friday, January 9, 2009.
Born in Bradford, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Miller and Helen M. Garton Miller. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Powell who died in 1996 and a sister, Ruth Bolton. She retired from Fort Bliss Military Hospital where she worked as a nurse. She attended St. Francis Catholic Church.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Powell and wife Cynthia of Franklin and John Powell and wife Brenda of Kenosha, Wisconsin; six grandchildren, Jessika Mallardi and husband Christopher, Shannon Dansby and husband Dennis and Stefanne Kelley and husband Tony all of St. Petersburg, FL, Vinnet Cline of Tampa, FL, Janeal Powell and Brendan Powell both of Kenosha, WI and five great grandchildren, Bailey Dansby, Morgan Dansby, Colin Dansby, Riley Dansby and Michael Mallardi all of St. Petersburg, FL.
A Memorial Mass will be held in El Paso, Texas. Burial will be in the Fort Bliss National Cemetery, Fort Bliss, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the cure (www.komen.org)
