Obituary

Marjorie Beach Kline of Franklin, NC, died October 2, 2010.
She was born February 15, 1915 in Castleton, Vermont to the late Carl. R. Beach and Maybelle Dodge Beach and grew up in Fair Haven, Vermont.
A graduate of Syracuse University, she had resided New York City, Wilmette and Glenview, Illinois and Franklin, North Carolina.
Mrs. Kline was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority, the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) the Chapter of the Battle of Sugartown, the National Association of Parliamentarians and was a charter member of the Franklin Friendship Club.
After college she worked for both the British and the U.S. government.
She was involved in Girl Scouting for over 35 years, serving as a troop leader, council officer and trainer of leaders.
Her Husband of 61 years, George H. Kline, died August 2001. Two sisters, Dorothy Barnouw of New York City and Lenore Ruby of Fair Haven, Vermont also predeceased her.
Two daughters survive: Patricia Kline Hoffman and her husband, George, of Mundelein, Illinois and Jan Kline McGee of Otto, North Carolina.
A granddaughter, Elizabeth Hoffman Josellis and husband, Ernest, of Libertyville, Illinois; a grandson, James R. Hoffman and wife, Mary, well as three great granddaughters, Hailey Elizabeth Hoffman, Chole Nicole Hoffman and Braydon Patricia Hoffman also survive.
No services are planned.
