Marjorie Hannel, 88, of Franklin, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010.

Born in McLeansboro, IL, she was the daughter of the late William Duncan and Pearl Tousley Duncan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Harold Hannel who passed away in 2000.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Burch and husband Virgil of Franklin; two brothers, Bill Duncan of Illinois and Bob Duncan of Kentucky; two sisters, Janice Burnett and Mona Gaines both of Illinois; two grandchildren, Joe Hilliard and wife Lisa and Cindy Garrett and husband Kris; seven great grandchildren, Valerie and Michaela Hilliard, Adam, Logan and Gavin Hopkins and Hunter and Haylee Garrett and one great-great granddaughter, Catlin Hilliard.

A local Funeral Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Don Bates and Rev. Wayne Price will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday night prior to the service at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17 at General Baptist Church in McLeansboro, IL. Rev. Bill Reed and Rev. Tracy Burnett will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery.

The family will serve as Pallbearers.
