Marjorie Anne Barnard, 87 of Franklin, passed away Friday, May 18, 2012.
Born in Dillonvale, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Roy Gerke and Elfra Mae Haynes Gerke. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warner Keith Barnard; two sisters, Betty Mellon and Dorothy Finley and a brother, Max Gerke. Marjorie loved playing bridge, working crossword puzzles, cooking and quilting. She was a retired RN, devoted caregiver to her loving husband and was a volunteer Hospice worker. She attended First Alliance Church with her family.
She is survived by a son, Keith Allen Barnard and wife Linda of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter, Patricia Barnard Hubbs and husband Doug of Franklin; three grandchildren, Decker Barnard, Sarah Kinnarney and Phoebe Hubbs; and two great grandchildren, Leo and Julius Kinnarney.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 25, at the home of Doug and Patti Hubbs in Burningtown. Rev. Mitch Schultz will officiate.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
