Marie Ledford Ramey, 90, of Franklin, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, September 5, 2015.
Born in Macon County, March 11, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Franchie Sanders Ledford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Ramey; three brothers, Wilson, Ellis and Calvin Ledford; two sister-in-laws, Dee Ledford and Helen Ledford; four brother-in-laws, Grady Kinsland, R.L. McConnell, Floyd Crisp, Roy Angel and Ed Waldroop. Marie was an avid gardener, raising beautiful irises and daylilies. She was an accomplished seamstress and excellent cook and was a member of Longview Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Betty Moore and husband J.P.; Ida Cloer and husband Buddy and Joy Holland and husband Dale all of Franklin; grandchildren, Tim Moore and wife Marcia of Franklin; Jeff Cloer and wife Brenda of Franklin; Angel Hudgins and husband Trip of Candler; Jennifer Stanley and husband Jeff of Franklin; Jessica LiBasci and husband Eric of Franklin; special granddaughter, Laura Clark and husband Rob of Franklin; nine great grandchildren; and she was expecting one great grandchild and one great-great grandchild in October; one brother, Al Ledford and wife Joan; four sisters, Barbara "Bobbie" McConnell, Yvonne Angel, Thelma Waldroop and Josephine "Tootsie" DeHart and husband David; one sister-in-law, Kay Ledford all of Franklin; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, September 7, at Longview Baptist Church. Rev. Tom Nahlen, Rev. Don Moffitt and Rev. Clark Moss will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Monday, prior to the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Tim Moore, Chris Moore, Josh Winkler, Jeff Cloer, Trip Hudgins, Jeff Stanley, Eric LiBasci, and Rob Clark.
