Obituary
Marian Gaines Westcott, 88, of Franklin, passed away Monday, August 5, 2013.
Born in Bradenton, FL, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Gaines and Mae Parrish Gaines. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Stanley Marvin. Marian enjoyed gardening and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Laurance Westcott; daughter, Janie Ensley of Franklin; sister, Lou Rahn of Tampa, FL; two grandchildren, Leighann Smith and Holly Lane and four great-grandchildren, Rachel Smith, Noah Smith, Gavin Lane and Sarah Lane.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 12th at First United Methodist Church. Rev. David Beam and Rev. Margaret Freeman will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flower, memorial donations can be made to Hospice House Foundation of WNC, Inc. P.O. Box 815, Franklin, NC 28744.
