Margie Faye Hurst Crane, 81, of Franklin, passed away Monday, May 14, 2007.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Jess Hurst and Sara Elizabeth Belle Beasley Hurst. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Andrew Crane who died Jan. 20, 2003,a daughter, Brenda Crane Rich; and four brothers, Everette Hurst, Arthur Hurst, Monroe Hurst and LeRoy Hurst. Margie was a member of Central Baptist Church.

She is survived by seven sons, Jim Crane of Marion, Fred Crane and wife Willie Jean, Donnie Crane and wife Joanne, Larry Crane and wife Donna, Tom Crane, Eddie Crane and wife Cindy and Gary Crane and wife Nicki all of Franklin; two daughters, Ruth Ann Stancil and companion Howard Elkins of Franklin and Virginia Hylton and husband Troy of Otto; sister, Annie Mae Guffey of Otto; 19 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Don Moffitt and Rev. David Lee Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Crane, Rick Crane, Chris Crane, Brandon Ledford, David Brabson and Bryan Burt.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Central Baptist Church, 393 Belleview Road, Franklin, NC 28734.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
