Obituary
Margaret "Marg" Faye Sanders, 67, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018.
A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late George McCall and Floy Southards McCall. In addition to her parents, Marg was preceded in death by brothers Dallas McCall, Kenneth McCall, and Bill McCall; and sister, Cora Mae MacMurray. Marg attended Cartoogechaye Church of God and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jessie "Skip" Sanders, of Franklin; daughter, Lynn Hopkins (Jimmy), of Franklin; son, Skip Sanders, of Franklin; 3 sisters, Mildred Giles and Karen Carnes, of Franklin and Dorothy Siler, of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren, McCall Sanders, McKayla Sanders, Jesse Hopkins, and William Hopkins; numerous nieces and nephews; and longtime friend, Georgia Parker.
Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 28, 2018. Rev. Phillip Cochran and Rev. Bryon Lamb will officiate. Burial will be in the Welch – Moore Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Macon Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.
Pallbearers will be Michael Melton, Chuck Brooks, Mike Hopkins, Ty Carnes, Alex Hopkins, Wayne Sanders, Edwin Grant, and Terry Cabe.
