Margaret Carter Crawford, 99, of Sylvania, GA, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017.

Born in Colquitt, GA, she was the daughter of the late George G. Carter and Margaret Sholar Carter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Harrison Crawford who died in 2009. Margaret received her bachelor's degree in education from GA Women's College and retired from Houston Co. School System after 30 years. She loved to read and was a member of First Baptist Church of Sylvania.

She is survived by her son, H. Carter Crawford and wife Nancy of Sylvania; five grandchildren, John Crawford of Statesboro, GA, Ley Crawford (Jennifer) of Sandford, NC, Mary Wambold (Todd) of Buford, GA, Clark Crawford (Tabatha) of Sylvania and Hays Jones (Andy) of Sylvania; five grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 7th at Iotla Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Leonard Marr and Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m., prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be John Crawford, Ley Crawford, Clark Crawford, Andy Jones, Todd Wambold, Chris Crawford and Billy Ingram.
